Northern Italian cuisine is a wonderfully-rich gastronomic repertoire of the wine regions like Piedmont, Lombardy, Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto. Due to the colder climate the cuisine tends to be richer and heartier, including slow brazing and stewing with sauces of stock, wine and butter.
